Today's Work

So my day job continues to have its own issues. This continues to be a bigger deal then I want to discuss here.
however, I made plates and some bowls.  I did some slip work with the plates.

Now, remember this is wet.  It will dry to be greenware, but that red is really Red Iron Oxide.  It will fire a very dark brown. The body will fire as a tan, and the white.. well the white will fire even whiter.  So I will use some transparent glaze so all of this shows.  The design in general is inspired by the slip ware, though traditionally that was with red earthenware clay.
