The Firing!

So these are from yesterday during the firing and today at 9am when the kiln was unloaded.
Basically there was no formal attempt at reduction, though really adding soda causes reduction as it was sprayed. But this water reduction is minimal.  There was little in the way of flashing and what there was , well it was very soft. A lot of orange peel and clear glaze effect over the pieces.

Suggestion is to do a heavy reduction, but my reading suggests at the end oxidation is needed. Also seems that there needs to be a slower cool.

Solution? I think reduce at ^010 like I have before pretty heavy.  At ^6, add soda as we did here. it is 3# of soda to 1 Gallon of boiling water.  But spray in spurts, allow temp to try to catch up. Once it is all in, reduce for about 45min. Then throw kiln in oxidation to down fire. Once done down firing, seal up kiln and leave it.

You really can't see my pieces here, I wanted to show others peoples work. All in all it was a good fire.
