Bowls from no where...

Ok so this is the honey glaze experiment... I did a cobalt wash as a decoration.  Here is my issue... I currently have zero memory of throwing these bowls. I do remember glazing them but not throwing them!!

These plates were a part of the original attempt at the dinner set when I was really fighting the plates. This was all that survived out of a set of six!  I also had to reglaze, all that same crap firing. Here is looks so blotchy I think I will hide them at home for us.. or me... what ever the hell...

Homeless Weasel Plates

If you have been following along, you know why these have this title.

I got tired of not being able to get it done so I pulled the trigger.  Now the glaze is a black rim with blue fur for the body... ya like you can tell at all that is what I did...

there are plates as well but I can't seem to find the pictures I took of the plates!

A Broken Mask

Well I love the symbol of being so broken....
I talked about the issue during drying.. here it is all fired.

Cluster F*K

Ok, so I think I mentioned that this last firing was a bit of a cluster. I had to reglaze some of the wares including all of the Homeless Weasel Dinner Set...

Included in this mess was this cooking bowl. I really like the form. The glaze left bare spots but I thought if I refired it it would be good... this is what I got...

Cup Cups... now what

Well, these cups are done. Not sure what is next. I think that I will take three and make a tea pot to go with it as a set.
The inside is rutile green, which always glazes lightly. The outside is clear.  This is part of the SB Red with a White slip covering.

A final Look before being fired.

So here is a final look at these as greenware.  This is two cups, you can see what Kaven did on each side. Not sure what I am doing for glaze, but looking towards straight up clear given that I am pretty unhappy with my attempt at a honey glaze.

Ouch...

Tu eres me corazón
Tu eres mi alma
Soy nada sin ti
He dejado atras tanto estar contigo
porque tu es mi proposito

Este es dolor y destruccion
Yo no puede sobrevivir
Sin ti, soy nada
No tengo alma o proposito
No tengo vida
Tengo nada

Te quero mas que a nada en el mundo
Espero, espero, y oro
Te amo, por vida

Slip designs and Tattoo Designs...

So from the last post you can see that I do very simple decorations. I even hesitate to refer to it as "scraffigo". However here you see something a bit more elaborate.  The secret?  I didn't do it. That is the secret. You saw this tea bowl in the last post, ^6 SB-Red from Laguna and it is dipped in a white slip.

Here you can see the tea bowls prior to decoration.  I then gave two of the smoother ones to Kaven, who did several of my tattoos.  you can see the pictures he sent me.

I will dip the final product in either honey or clear.  Right now they are greenware. And there will be all my projects that were glazed with the honey glaze in a glaze fire tomorrow. So by the time I get to glazing these two.. well I will know if the honey worked or not.

Here you can see on my right arm "max" from where the wild things are as well as a version of Death. These are also done by Kaven.

Slip Ware

Last Firing...

Ok so the last firing did not go so well...

The inside of this bowl has Bone ^6 matte glaze. It's ok, but it cannot replace Eggshell so that is not great.
Now these are the only two pots that were thrown in the gallery for sale. A dinner set had a bunch of issues. I will post those when they are refired, but the glaze did not react as expected. I am needing to refire the whole set as there are marks without glaze. An issue I have not had before..
