So, I am headed into making some fermenting crocks. While I like the design of the traditional Kimchi Jars, I am hearing from folks that what they need is a bit different. I can generally keep the shape but will need to do a different style lid.
what people are wanting is this deep V in the lip of the jar and the lid sits in there with water, creating a water seal. I think that 5.5# will get me a half gallon size jar, and that is the size that was requested. I know they make much much larger ones but for right now, that is beyond me.
