new clay

So we did our adventures in reclaim and learned a lot. There are pix that I might steal from Cup & Bowl, I took a lot of them with Kuky's ipad.

So my clay is not dry enough to throw and I have not had time to babysit it to make it so. I took some and wedged and dried and wedged and it was still very soft but I had time and wanted to throw.  I should have tried plates not bowls given the softness...

this is a look at the studio there as well as the one bowl I made.  I gave up as the size I wanted to make could not be supported. In the end this bowl cracked!  It was hard to compress something that bloody wet.  But I will fire it and do a variety of glazes making this a test pot for the "new" clay.
